Fleet Safety Training

ADSI provides comprehensive training for Fleet Drivers.

Our programs provide the hands-on training your employees need to reduce your company's liability and ensure their safety while driving. In today's world of litigation, NOT providing adequate training for your employees can expose your company to a lawsuit from the parties involved in an accident and possibly from YOUR employee as well.

Research by DOT, Bureau of Labor Statistics and other research groups shows:

  • 31% of American workers who lose their lives on the job did so while driving a vehicle. (NETS)
  • Annually nearly twice as many people are killed in the work place as a result of traffic accidents than for any other reason. (NETS)
  • The average vehicle accident expense is $16,500. When there is bodily injury $75,000. When a fatality occurs costs can exceed $500,000. (NETS)
  • Whether they occur on or off the job, motor vehicle crashes cost employers a staggering $60 billion each year. (NETS)

Expect your employees to return with a heightened understanding of their vehicle's capabilities, better educated on how their vision and processing systems work, as well as a sense of pride and accomplishment. An excellent Team Building experience while improving the company's bottom line through:

  • Fewer Accidents
  • Less Employee and Car Down Time
  • Improved Productivity
  • Lower Vehicle Insurance Costs

Although most clients choose to customize each training program to better fit their company fleet's specific needs, a typical 8 hour Vehicle Control Clinic consists of a two to three hour lecture and four hours of hands-on driving.

  • Dynamics of a crash
  • Accepting and minimizing Risk
  • Restraints - seat belts, air bags
  • Vision - Eyes and Mind
  • Problem Identifiers - Anticipating and recognizing visual clues.
  • Increasing your line of sight
  • Time, Distance and escape routes
  • Night and inclement weather driving
  • Tire talk
  • Vehicle Dynamics - weight transfer and controlling force
  • Breaking & Turning both ABS and NON-ABS
  • Traction Control and Anti-Roll Features

Hands-on Exercises include but not limited to:

  • Proper hand and seat placement
  • Slalom - Steering control and Spatial awareness
  • Brake & Turn (ABS and/or Non-ABS braking covered)

Our exercises are mathematically proven, as well as designed to have a real world application. Each student will leave our program with a heightened level of awareness, confidence, and most of all a new respect and understanding for their vehicle and the environment that they drive through everyday.
